Last Monday afternoon it felt like Spring was in the air! So the children and I went for a walk on our local beach. It's a short walk from our house and to my shame, I have to admit that we haven't been there enough in the 18 months that we've lived here.
Anyway, I took the camera with me and can't resist sharing the photos here. That's what a blog is for, isn't it?!?

This was the first time Noah actually walked on the beach. He has been there before but always in a carrier. This time I put him down to explore.
He loved it but was wondering what that stuff on his hands was when he first got sand on his fingers ;-)

"I had a haircut!"

Hi, my name is Noah, I'm 15 months old and I had a haircut yesterday.

I've been really sick, with high fevers and a nasty cough. But I'm starting to feel better, so mum took me to Louise, the hairdresser. I sat very still and she did a great job! It was hard for mum to get a good photo of it, because I'm not one to sit still for very long ;-)
And I still have a snotty nose and that cough.

Some more photos to share:

Today Tirzah lost her first top tooth! She's about four weeks shy of her 6th birthday.
The following photos are from yesterday.

It was sunny and not too cold, so the older four played outside, behind our house:

I took these photos from our veranda, to show you what a view we have and the space to play! This field is destined to be filled with new houses at some stage in the future but for now it's empty and the perfect place to run around!!!

While Joel, Nadia, Aaron & Tirzah were playing at the back, Noah was with me on the veranda. He LOVES this dressing gown, he wants to wear it all the time. We call it his housecoat LOL.

Our latest helper in the house:

Of course he doesn't do this job all by himself ;-)

Tirzah

As you may already know, I'm passionate about babywearing ;-)

Tirzah wanted to have a go at it too a few days ago, she wanted to wear Noah on her back in one of my Mei Tais:

But she's only twice Noah's weight, so it wasn't easy for her and she couldn't do it for very long.
Here's another one:

And just for fun, a photo of Tirzah in the bath ;-)

Some more photos to share:

Noah loves to "cook", with help from Tirzah:

Joel is 13!!!

Wow, how did this happen? All of a sudden our oldest is 13...!
Here he is at his birthday party:

Can you see the smoke from the birthday candles? ;-)
He was too fast for the photographer, haha.

So now we're the parents of a teenager. A whole new adventure??? Maybe, but we intend it to be fun!

Noah is walking!!!!!!!!

Isn't he clever?!?
He's been practising for nearly a month, taking a step here and there. And then last Saturday (26 May) he really took off.
And now he's walking everywhere! Still with his arms up high a lot for balance ;-)

Less than 10 months ago, he could barely lift his head up, after the 2 heart surgeries he'd been through. His breastbone had been cut open twice, so it took a long time to heal.
And look at him now! Can you tell I'm proud of him? ;-)
We're all proud of him of course. He's pretty proud of himself too!
He had croup earlier this week. That comes with a horrible cough at night, it was awful. But he's much better now. He still has a runny nose but he's not coughing anymore.
I've discovered his little stomach doesn't handle wheat. Aaron was the same as a toddler, so I've been there, done that...
Noah is on a wheat free diet for now, hopefully he will grow out of it, just like Aaron.
